The subject was a gallery&#8217;s worth of abstract art by John Kingerlee.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A breath of air is wave&#8217;s gestation<br \/>\nSpeaking words of invitation,<br \/>\nEach break of wave another plea<br \/>\nTo let the sea encompass me.<\/p>\n<p>But I remain dry on the land,<br \/>\nPencil and paper in my hand,<br \/>\nTrying ever fervently<br \/>\nTo dissect master Kingerlee.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, he remains a mystery to me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notes: John Kingerlee is an Irish artist who deals mostly in highly abstract depictions of heads and of the landscape of the Beara peninsula, where he lives a fairly hermetic existence with the company of his wife.
